Dear Members & Friends of the Beresford-Centerville Joint Parish of the United Church of Christ,
Thanksgiving is just around the corner; then Advent; & before we know it Christmas & the New Year.
December 10 is a pivotal day for our congregations; it’s Candidate Sunday, a day on which we’ll have a candidate conduct our joint worship service after which the members will vote to either accept him as our full-time minister (or not). The day begins in the Beresford UCC @ 9:30 in the morning with a Joint Parish potluck brunch & candidate meeting time, followed by the Joint service @ 11:00 a.m. Then the vote. We’re hopeful.
In the interim, we are fortunate to have Rev. Cheryl Schmeling, a retired Methodist minister, to be with us on Sundays, at least through December. She’s a treasure!
Do have a joyous Thanksgiving. As you enjoy the Day, possibly consider the quotes that follow; quotes included in the November 19 bulletin
I am grateful for what I and have. My thanksgiving is perpetual.

Re Horse Feeding Project article in the last Seed Sower: All is taken care of as far as locating the hay & transportation; however, the project still needs financing. The cost for the first load that was hauled out to Bridger last week was $3160.00. At least two-three more loads will be required so the horses can make it through the winter. If you would like to make a donation for this project, please contact one of the people listed on the Friends Committee or contact the SD Conference office (contact information is included in the November 13-30 Seed Sower.
