The Centerville UCC held their annual meeting on Sunday, January 14. At this meeting, a vision/planning session was conducted. Following are pictures of what items were discussed for future use and reference.

August 22, 2017

Joint Parish Meeting

Members present: Joyce Clay, Jack Finger, Cheri Johnke, Vhonda Miller, Jerry Voss, Jim Weber

Absent: Ed Poll and Kent Austin

Financial Report: Vhonda gave the financial report. The majority of the expenses are for pulpit supply. All utility expenses will cease due to the parsonage being rented out.

Jim Weber reported on the Placerville Camp donation, which was greatly appreciated by the Placerville fundraising committee.

Cheri opened the meeting with prayer.

Change of Worship Times: Jim made a motion to switch worship times on September 3 to Beresford meeting at 9:30 a.m. and Centerville at 11:00 a.m.  Jack Finger seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.  Jerry Voss opened discussion on changing the times to 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Board members indicated they had no requests for this change and it was tabled until individual church members bring it to the Board.

Interim Minister Schedule: Mari Rogers, August 27; Cheryl Schmeling, September 3 & 10.

Interim Minister Discussion: Cheri wanted direction on what individuals we would be interested in pursuing for a full/part time interim. We liked the following individuals to help Cheri in her discussions with Randy Tschetter and/or the individuals themselves.  1) Steve Anderson; 2) Maribeth Anderson; 3) Cheryl Schmeling and 4) Mari Rogers.

Jack Finger and Jim Weber will draft guidelines to present to an interim minister. The guidelines will provide direction on hours and responsibilities the Board is requiring from an interim.

Confirmation: Centerville and Beresford each have one individual eligible for confirmation. Cheri visited with the father of the Centerville confirmand and determined that he was okay with waiting until a new minister was in place. The Beresford board members will visit with the Beresford parents and determine the same.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Vhonda Miller, Secretary
